Insurance for members who are away

Guidance

Household insurance may not provide cover while a member is away for long periods. Members are advised to confirm their situation with their insurance company.

7.8.32 Member with less than 12 months until ceasing continuous full-time service

Guidance

In the total workforce system, continuous full-time service may be described as service in Service category 6 or 7. A member who is in Service category 3, 4 or 5 and Service option C is also on continuous full-time service.

Example: A member becomes a member without dependants because their spouse dies and they have no children.
