5.7.5 Paid parental leave
Guidance
Paid parental leave is not reduced by the days when the member is not required for duty, such as weekends or nonworking periods.
A member whose child is born or joins their family on a permanent basis, on or before 12 February 2025 is eligible for the 20 days of paid parental leave that was applicable at the time as provided under Schedule 6 of Defence Determination, Conditions of service Amendment Determination 2024 (No. 13).
