12.1.1 Member Chapters 12 to 16 apply to

In the total workforce system, this includes a member in Service categories 3, 4, 5 and 7. It also includes employees in Service category 1 through the operation of subsection F6.1 of the Defence Enterprise Collective Agreement 2024. A member in Service category 6 is unlikely to perform duty overseas.

Identical overseas conditions for ADF and APS
Guidance
1. Overseas conditions of service are intended to be identical for ADF members and APS employees in the same circumstances.
2. There may be situations in which benefits differ because of particular features of service or functions undertaken.
