Perform a period of continuous full-time service If you're a member of the Reserves, you can apply to start a period of continuous full-time service (CFTS). Start a flexible service determination You can ask to transfer to SERCAT 6 to help balance personal and work life. Transition from Permanent Forces or from the Reserves You may apply to transition or leave the ADF during your career. Perform duty in a remote location You may get additional benefits if you're posted to a remote location. Being posted to a new location in Australia When you're posted to a new location in Australia, Defence offers you benefits and assistance to help you move. Deploying on domestic operations You may be deployed on domestic operations during your career.
