Subdivision 1: Interpretation

3.3.1 Purpose

Guidance

The types of bonuses that may be offered under this Part are as follows.

  1. A category A bonus which can be a retention or completion bonus and is used for individual members who are critical to capability.
  2. A category B bonus which can be a retention or completion bonus and is used for members who are in a workgroup that is critical or at risk of being critical to capability.

3.3.2 Definitions

3.3.3 Commencement day of an agreed period of service

Guidance

Deliberately differentiated offers under Part 6 are not bonuses. As such, an agreed period of service under the deliberately differentiated offer is not considered under subparagraph 3.3.3.b.iii when determining the commencement date of the agreed period of service.

Members who sign up to a return of service obligation after commencing an agreed period of service under this Part should consult the ADF Bonus Team as to how the bonus may affect the completion of the return of service obligation.

3.3.4 Valid offer

Guidance

The approved form for section 3.3.4 is the following.

  1. PMKeyS.
  2. If PMKeyS is not available, AF168 - ADF Military Bonus Offer.
  3. The form of the same name available through SharePoint.

3.3.5 Valid acceptance

The approved form for section 3.3.5 is the following.

  1. PMKeyS.
  2. If PMKeyS is not available, AF168 - ADF Military Bonus Offer.
  3. The form of the same name available through SharePoint.
