When you stay in living-in accommodation (LIA)

You may get meal allowance for lunch if your normal place of duty is in a capital city and a meal isn’t provided.

When you live out

You perform extra duty

Your rostered duty changes

You can't go home for lunch

When you're not eligible

An in-flight meal on a commercial aircraft does not count as a meal. Meal allowance is still payable to a member who gets an in-flight meal.
