Eligibility
When you stay in living-in accommodation (LIA)
You may get meal allowance for lunch if your normal place of duty is in a capital city and a meal isn’t provided.
When you live out
When you perform extra duty
When your rostered duty changes
When you can't go home for lunch
When you're not eligible
An in-flight meal on a commercial aircraft isn't counted a meal. You can still get meal allowance if you get an in-flight meal.
