Amount of trainee allowance you get

Example

Your annual salary is $60,517. 

Private in Pay Grade 1 salary is $79,096. 

Your annual trainee's dependant allowance is $18,579 ($79,096 − $60,517).

Your fortnightly trainee's dependant allowance is $714.58 a fortnight ($18,579 ÷ 26).

If you're on a flexible service determination (SERCAT 6), your allowance is worked out based on your pattern of service.
